The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MA DPH), Division of Maternal and Child Health Research and Analysis, has released new Oral Health Guidelines for Pregnancy and Early Childhood.
The new document, published in October 2024, aims to educate healthcare providers across professions on appropriate oral healthcare for pregnant birthing people and their young children. The practice guidelines are designed for providers of both pregnant women and pediatric patients, which include:
