AIM Obstetrical Champion
The MD/DO/CNM team lead who is the main contact and will receive all communication for all of MA AIM Initiative, including other projects focused such as hemorrhage, hypertension, perinatal mental health, VTE. May or may not be the same person as the AIM OUD Lead.
AIM Nursing Champion
The RN team lead who is the main contact and receive all communication with the AIM Obstetrical Champion for all of MA AIM Initiative, including other projects focused such as hemorrhage, hypertension, perinatal mental health, VTE. May or may not be the same person as the AIM OUD Lead.
AIM OUD Lead
The lead contact who will be the priority contact for the AIM OUD Bundle within the PNQIN Opioid Project.
MASBIRT
Massachusetts Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment – Training & Technical Assistance. MASBIRT TTA trains medical providers, behavioral health providers, public health service providers, and healthcare support staff to conduct Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) services to address the spectrum of unhealthy substance use (i.e., alcohol, prescription drug, illicit drug). MPQC
Massachusetts Perinatal Quality Collaborative – the maternal side of the PNQIN joint organization. MPQC will lead the PNQIN AIM OUD Bundle Initiative component of the PNQIN Opioid Project, and will work with obstetrical teams for other bundles related to AIM including hemorrhage, and hyptertension. PNQIN
Perinatal-Neonatal Quality Improvement Network of Massachusetts – the umbrella organization housing both MPQC and NeoQIC. Formally launched in 2016, PNQIN builds on over a decade of quality improvement projects by MPQC, NeoQIC, together with MA Department of Public Health, March of Dimes and the Health Policy Commission.

PNQIN Perinatal Opioid Project (POP)
The PNQIN Opioid Project is the project directed by PNQIN that focuses on substance use across the lifecourse. Project components include: MA AIM OUD Bundle, Eat, Sleep Control for substance exposed newborns, Early Intervention linkages to Head Start, Bi-annual statewide summits and poster presentations and more. SBIRT
Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment- an evidence-based practice used to identify, reduce, and prevent drug misuse. PNQIN will prioritize SBIRT as one of the AIM OUD Bundle components of focus for the statewide collaborative effort.
