March 27th is Amniotic Fluid Embolism (AFE) Awareness Day in Massachusetts! Governor Maura Healey signed this proclamation this year to help promote research and awareness of this devastating complication of pregnancy, citing that “awareness of AFE and commensurate data collection and research will promote understanding of this disorder, expanding the search for an effective treatment and accelerating the number of lives saved.”
