We’re thrilled to announce that Dr. Maryanne Bombaugh, MD, MSc, MBA, FACOG, CPE, has been appointed as the new PNQIN Representative on the Massachusetts Maternal Mortality Review Committee (MMMRC).

Dr. Bombaugh is taking over the role from Dr. Andrew Healy, a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Physician and the Medical Director of Obstetrics at Baystate Medical Center. He has worked with PNQIN as a clinical lead on numerous quality projects over the years. Thank you, Dr. Healy, for your contributions to PNQIN!

Dr. Bombaugh’s illustrious career and extensive experience uniquely position her to make invaluable contributions in this pivotal role. Dr. Bombaugh’s background as a gynecologist in the Women’s Health Clinic, her tenure as Chair of the Massachusetts Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and her leadership roles in various medical institutions underscore her deep commitment to advancing women’s health. Her impressive track record, including serving as Medical Director at Bay View Women’s Health in Sandwich and Executive Medical Director of Population Health at Reliant Medical Group, speaks to her expertise in quality improvement and patient safety.

We are confident that Dr. Bombaugh’s appointment will greatly enhance the MMMRC’s efforts to improve maternal health outcomes in Massachusetts. In her new role, she will attend bi-monthly virtual meetings, collaborate on case reviews, and bring crucial insights back to PNQIN to inform statewide quality improvement efforts. Congratulations, Dr. Bombaugh, on this significant appointment!
